Adding my voice to the discontent. What drew me to Medium was the minimalist design focusing on the post itself. Having screen width photos meant I could have some posts with a visual element: useful when you want to discuss particular art work.

These changes may be good for some, but I've now set up a WordPress where I can have better visual control of the space I write in. On Medium, what was previously a good balance between function and minimalism, is now neither: it's chasing a phone based app clickbait experience.
